Another Cold but sunny day, so we took a long walk along the old railway track, looking for Red Squirrels and Goldcrests. Sadly there was no sign of either, but we were treated to a flock of Redwings feasting on the Hawthorn berries.
Along the track there were flocks of Long tailed Tits, Fieldfare and a distant Pheasant. Back home the pond was quiet but the new resident Little Grebe was bobbing about and a lone Grey Heron was fishing.
Not the busiest wildlife day but a great winters walk
