A dark morning but dry and so I took another walk to see if the Otter was still at the lake. As soon as I arrived I saw not one but two Otters fishing, there was one smaller than the other, so Im guessing a Male and Female, or last years young with its mum. They were a long way out on the lake so its hard to be sure.
The smaller of the two only stayed for a minute or so before disappearing into the undergrowth, the larger stayed out for 5 minutes and caught at least four Eels in that time before he too went under cover. A great early morning walk, a few Mute Swans on the water as well as a couple of Golden Eye and lots of Little Grebes.
