A lovely sunny day in Cumbria and I managed to get a quick walk near Beckermet to see if the Sand Martins were flying at the nesting site. Sadly the footpath was closed so I couldn’t get to the main colony but I did manage to find a few nests in the river bank down stream and too k lots of photos trying to catch them, but boy are they fast !
I thought the Barn Owl would be out hunting as the sunset, but sadly there was no sign.
