06 August 2024 : Morning walk out in sun to see how the Barn Owls nest was doing
Just a quick walk out after a night of torrential rain, as soon as I got there I saw the adult Barn Owl sat on the cliff, and another adult in its usual hiding hole, then when I turned back to the nest all three chicks poked their heads out ! They all look ready to leave now, and even the one that had already fledged the nest was back, I guess just sheltering from the storms.
I’ll return later if the weather allows and see what we have in place tonight, but for this morning I just enjoyed watching them for half an hour.
