Today dawned sunny and the pond was busy with Swallows, but when I looked closer I noticed that amongst them were a dozen Sand Martins. Great to see them back, although I’m not sure where they are building their nests, I will have to go and search.
As the evening came I ventured out to look for the Barn Owls, I waited for a hail shower to pass and then out of nowhere there it was, I took focus and a van drove past on the road and stole my focus ! I just got a couple of shots before it vanished behind the trees and then was gone, I looked for half an hour but Ive no idea where it went , and I didn’t see it go back to the barn. I will need to spend more time figuring out its preferred routes if I am to get a better photo of it !
