Today dawned dry with the sun poking through the clouds and by mid morning the clouds had gone and the sun came out.
No Otters at Kingscross this morning but there was a Grey Seal who bobbed by and said hello ! The Eider ducks were flying in formation, a Heron was being mobbed by a Common Gull, a Redshank was on the rocks and a Sparrow Hawk flew overhead. Not a bad way to start the day.
We then took a trip to the Kings Caves again, but this time we walked in from the other side through the woods, the trees were alive with Goldcreasts, and the Buzzards were flying high overhead. A lovely walk amongst the trees and along the beach.
Following that we headed to Kilmory beach, along great beach that starts rocky before becoming long and sandy. The Buzzards were overhead again, the Great Black Backs and Common Gulls were everywhere, Pied Wagtails were balancing on the rocks, and out to sea there was alone Red Breasted Merganser and a single Great Northern Diver.
As the light was beginning to fail we headed back via the fell road where we caught a fleeting glimpse of the Hen Harriers and lots of Buzzards
