Much like the rest of Northern UK the weather here in Cumbria has been stormy and grey, but I have managed a few trips out when the sun decided to come out, and today was one of those days.
Last week I managed to get out to Frizington and watch the Barn Owl hunting in the last of the evening light, at home the pond has been busy with Gooseanders and the odd Red Breasted Merganser.
Today I took a trip up to Workington and the two Short Eared Owls were out and about putting on a show in the sun, and a grey Seal evening popped up out at sea over the cliffs to say hello ! Fingers crossed this spell of good weather will remain for a while and there will be more wildlife to see very soon.
