16 Feb 2025 : I decided to day to nip to see if the Barn Owls were about, and seeing as they have been early to rise of late, I went at 3.30pm and as I pulled up the female Barn Owl was flying directly towards my car and by the time I had jumped out it was just circling to quarter in the field. Luckily my camera is always ready and I jumped out and got a few shots, before I spotted the male Barn Owl quartering in the bottom of the other field ! Both were mobbed by a passing Kestrel and then went their own ways back to the Barn, the Male turned at the last minute and came back towards me for a quick fly by before going back to the barn.
Just a forty minute trip, but I am so glad to have done it, its always a privilege to watch these Owls flying
