The winds and rain from the past two day storm settled down this evening and for a short while the sky turned blue, so I took the chance for a short walk before dusk to see what if anything was about.
Close to home, the sheep were hugging the fences sheltering from the fading winds, the pond had a dozen or so Mallards that quickly flew off when i Walked passed. A lone Buzzard was circling and the fence lines had small numbers of Linnets perched on the Barb wire, and that was about it at home, Further afield the bird life was much the same , but I did see some Roe Deer in the far distance and one of this years Leverets was hiding in the grass.
Not a packed wildlife day but nice to get out after the bad weather and nice to see some nice animals, if not very many !
