Today we decided to take a walk along the Ettrick bay toward the end of the isle. Its was an area we hadn’t been to yet and also its a good Otter spotting place. We had a fantastic walk in full sunshine, but sadly there were no Otters to be seen, however the Herons, Sandpipers, Merganser, Stonechats, Wheater and Rock Pipits were out in full force and we even got to watch a Seal that Tracey named Ron, swim passed us twice just watching us to see if we did anything interesting!
After a great meal in the bay cafe, watching an Osprey fly high over the bay, we headed back via Rothersey to our little house. Once the sun started to set , I took a trip to Scalpsie bay to watch the Seals and sat in full sun till it set watching a dozen or so Seal lazing about on the rocks.
Another fantastic day in Bute
