So last month we installed an Owl box in the garden, We did this following a Tawny Owl that has taken to coming to the garden recently ( See the first video) , The Tawny landed on the lawn next to a Hedgehog and we managed to catch it on our Hedgehog camera ! Howerver, we had to relocate the box due to the tree moving in the winds !
The New location in the garden is in a more stable tree and also has a camera pointed directly at it. I think it will take a while for the Owls to find it , but ever hopeful Ive been watching the cameras everyday just to make sure.
Up to this week we’ve not seen anything apart from the odd Starling looking at it, but last night we had a Barn owl visit the garden, it didn’t actually find the box but its a good start !
So we will keep watching the cameras and hopefully soon we will see an Owl move in !
