The weather today was mainly grey and wet, but as the evening rolled in the wind picked up and I took a chance that it might blow the clouds away. I was fifty percent right ! the clouds did get blown away but there were more coming in behind them so I only had an hour or so of light.
I took a walk along the coast, but I was early so there wasn’t much about, about from the flocks of Goldfinches in the distance and the odd Stonechat perching on the fence posts. However , just as the light was starting to go and I was heading back, a pair of Barn Owls appeared, they quickly hunted in the fields close to me before flying off into the Willow woods and not coming out.
A fleeting experience in poor light , but as always it was great to see them.
