Another bright day in West Cumbria, so an early morning walk to Longlands Lake, I had hoped to see the Otter but sadly it wasn’t to be seen ( although as I left I was informed it had shown it’s face! ). The lake was calm with lots of Little Grebes fishing and coming back with minows, the lone Whooper Swan was still there and as I was on my way back a little Red Squirrel popped up in a tree by the river.
Back at home the Kestrels were out again and the Mute Swans feeding on the pond. All in all a good day with a couple of short walks.
