A Rainy day that ended in bright sunshine, so I headed out to see how the Hares were doing, spotted a couple in the distance and then nearly tripped over this little chap on my way back ! He happily grazed for 20 mins before a buzzard calling overhead scared him off.
Returning home a quick scan of the pond and was rewarded by a Common Sandpiper on the pond in the distance, a nice surprise seeing as how quiet the pond has been of late and also a first for here, just as I was on my way back I noticed what I think was a water vole scuttling along the shore, so Ive left a trail camera out tonight and fingers crossed if it was one I will have it on video tomorrow – watch this space.
