So the weather finally broke this afternoon and so as soon as sunset was here I headed out hoping to catch the Barn Owls out in the great evening light. When I arrived, the Owl was already out quartering in the fields, so I quickly turned the car around and waited on the brow of the hill incase it changed its direction, and thankfully it did !
It was hunting for around 30 mins in and out of the direct sun but I managed to get a few good shots before it headed back to the barn , Im guessing it had caught its full as it must have caught at least five meadow voles while I watched.
There wasn’t much else out just a lone Kestrel hovering in the distance, but a beauty evening walk and great to watch the Owl hunting. Hopefully this weather will remain for a while and maybe the Hares will make an appearance as well
