6 Nov 2025: A grey start to the day but the sun came out and so did the birds, a group of six Cygnets and two adult Mute swans came and landed on the pond, scaring off a Grey Heron and two Cormorants that were there first.
The Swans stayed all day and Im hoping they will still be there tomorrow, but for today they spent their time washing and eating !
With the weather looking good we also took a trip to Workington to see if we could spot a Short Eared Owl, sadly it was a no show but we did have a nice walk and spotted a Grey Seal and Kestrel
