Took a dawn walk today as the sun was coming up and clouds starting to clear to look for an Otter. There was a lone Otter fishing a long way off just off the Hoy Island, but he soon swam out to sea with the tide. A few minutes later a Grey Seal swam up and past me on the point before he too went out to sea.
The Gannets were dive bombing right by me, and the Sandwich Terns were flying about fishing, one caught what looked like a sardine, a big fish for a small bird ! I walked back to the cottage with a smile on my face and the Sandpipers calling.
