Today was a sunny day despite a poor forecast and so we went for a walk around the lake at Cogra Moss, was great to see the Chiffchafs out, Greylag geese, Heron and Mallards with six ducklings ! must be spring.
In the evening I went to find my elusive Barn Owl, and tonight I finally cracked his hunting pattern and got myself in the right position to actually get a few shots ! All was going well till a juvenile Herring Gull took offence at the Owl and saw him off back to his nest and chicks. All in all he brought back 4 voles in 40 minutes, not a bad hit rate.
