01 Jne 2024 – A sunny day with some wind and light cloud
Today was the first day in a while that the weather was nice, so we took a walk up Dent fell in the morning. The first half of the walk is dense woodland with mainly pine and so there wasnt much to see apart from Buzzards circling overhead. Once we left the trees and headed onto the moorland higher up to the summit we were greeted with Mistle Thrush, Song Thrush, Stonechats and a lot of Skylarks.
Later in the day I took a trip up to Steel Brow where the Barn owls were out and about for ten minutes, so I took as many photos as possible. Returning to Parkside the light was just going and in the orange sunset the Swans looked superb on the pond. All in all a great start to June.
