The storm seemed to have passed in the main today so we took a walk around the marsh at Beckermet, the river was in spate so there wasn’t much to see at first. Lapwings were gathered in the wet fields, Oyster catchers were plentiful and there was a little Egret in a tree in the distance.
By the river Wheatears were hoping about and down at the beach large flocks of Ringed Plovers were flying in the surf.
When I went through my photos I also found some images I had taken on the ferry coming back from Arran last week, some lovely shots of Eider Ducks flying next to the ferry.
Fingers crossed the weather improves this week and I can get out and see some Cumbrian wildlife !
