You may have noticed a short period where the wildlife diaries haven’t had many updates, well this isn’t downtime ! its because of a period of poor weather but mainly because we have gained a new companion ! a Border Collie Puppy called Skye has arrived in our life, and as you can imagine she has taken all our spare time training , so the wildlife trips have taken a back seat for a while !
However, she is progressing very well and normal service will return very soon – however it has also coincided with a period of poor weather when nothing much has been around. However, we have been seeing a new pair of Barn Owls hunting at our home, a first here and we are hoping they will become a regular visitor. We plan to put up a nesting box for them very soon, so who knows maybe next breeding season we will have a nest box with a live camera inside .
