The last two days have been very hot and sunny, which has meant that taking any wildlife shots during the day has been impossible due to the heat haze. When I’ve been out in the evening there has been very little about, I went up to look for the Owls but it was a no show, just a couple of Curlews in the fields shouting at each other and a Magpie catching flies in the grass.
Back at home the Geese are visiting each night ( Greylag and Canada ), the swallows are still feeding and on Sunday we saw the first Swift of the season, Ive been looking ever since but he’s not been back to photograph since !The Mallards on the pond still have five ducklings, and the Jackdaws are no a very big family indeed.
I plan to get out tomorrow a bit further a field so watch this space !
