This Barn Owl often hunts in the fileds near home in West Cumbria, but normaly in the dark, this photo was taken just as the sun was setting but while there was a little light left

These young Mute Swans had been kicked out by their parents and were starting life on their own. Soon they would split up and go their own seperate ways looking for a mate and their own region.

This was taken at sunset in a field local to myself in West Cumbria, they must have thought I was coming to feed them because as soon as I entered the field they formed a row and waited for me !

This was taken at dawn on the Moors just outside of Cleator Moor in West Cumbria. The young deer was making his way towards the road, and didn’t see me as it passed me by only a few yards away.
