Another fruitless search for Barn Owls tonight, there just doesn’t seem to be any at any of the normal locations, I’m hoping its because they are brooding but time will tell.
Happily though I did manage to find the first Wheatears of the year, looking good considering they have just landed from their migration from Africa. Great to see the white rumps flitting all over the moor land. I will hopefully get to see them again when the sun is out, and the hunt for Owls will of course continue.
