Tonight I went for a wander to Beckermet to see if I could find the Barn owls, but sadly the Barn Owls were a no show. The sun was shining and the birds were singing, so I walked along the track and looked into the trees to find the hiding, singing birds and I wasn’t disappointed .
The light was bright and everything was a silhouette, but eventually I managed to track the singing birds down, and it was only when I got my photos home I was sure that I had found a Lesser Whitethroat, just a small warbler bird but a first for me and it made my night !
The Chiffchaffs, willow Warblers, Greylags, Swans , Gulls and Sedge Warblers were wonderful to see, as was the distant Roe Deer but it was the Lesser Whitethroat that made my day. Hopefully I will get to see them again soon
