21 June 2024 – Lincoln Fens nature reserve on a cloudy morning
We had an hour before attending a wedding and so we took a trip to a local nature reserve to see what is about. The reserve was based around a series of ponds and canals with reed beds and scrubland and we didnt really expect to find much, but after only a short time we had heard but not seen a Cuckoo, caught a fleeting glimpse of a Willow Warbler, watched Swallowa with their juviniles , spotted a Roe Deer and watched a Marsh Harrier.
Not bad for a very short time in an area totaly unknown to us
